Description

Klintensiv® Decapons Acid Descaler & Cleaner

Effectively removes limescale, cement, rust, and hardened dirt.

Acidic solution for professional cleaning of hard, non-porous, acid-resistant surfaces. Dissolves limescale deposits, cement residues, plaster remnants, rust, and mineral buildup. Designed for tile joints and floors resistant to acidic solutions, as well as for descaling water circuits (pools, heat exchangers, condensers, boilers, etc.). Suitable for use in the food industry (with proper rinsing after use).

Recommended Uses

  • Tile and grout joints; floors made of linoleum, tarkett, epoxy resin
  • Removal of limescale from pools, condenser pipes, radiators, boilers, and distribution circuits (Al/INOX)
  • Removal of cement deposits from mixers and plaster residues from floors
  • Hard surfaces: tiles, ceramics, linoleum, epoxy resin
  • Do not use on easily corroded materials: copper, zinc, unprotected iron

Instructions for Use

Can be used as is or diluted. Apply on corrosion-resistant surfaces using: manual applicator/brush/sponge/microfiber cloth or by immersion (plastic container). After contact time, rinse thoroughly with water.

  • Limescale deposits (fast removal): dilution 1:10 (product:water), ~1 minute contact
  • Grout & floor stripping (linoleum, tarkett, epoxy resin): 1:2 or undiluted, ~40 seconds contact, then rinse
  • Water circuits (HVAC / industrial technical water): use undiluted
  • General surface contact time: 3–5 minutes, then rinse. Scrubbing with a hard sponge/brush speeds up cleaning

Condensing boilers & heat exchanger descaling (INOX/Al):

  • Ready-to-use solution: 15–30% v/v (depending on deposit level)
  • Example 10 L at 15% v/v: 1.5 L Decapons + 8.5 L water
  • After treatment: drain the circuit and rinse with an alkaline solution to neutralize pH (100 g baking soda / 10 L water, mix until dissolved), recirculate for a few minutes, then rinse with water

Adequate rinsing is required after use.
For food-contact areas, rinsing with potable water is mandatory.

Precautions

  • Acidic product: wear gloves and eye protection; avoid splashing
  • Do not mix with other substances (general recommendation: do not combine acidic products with bleach/hypochlorite)
  • Perform a compatibility test on a small area before large-scale use
  • Avoid prolonged contact with corrosion-sensitive metals

Technical Characteristics
